What is the average weight of a mlb pitcher who is 5'11 or 6'0?
The starting pitcher must pitch at least five complete innings (four innings if the game is shortened to five by rain or whatever) to qualify for the W. Once the relievers get in the game, it's just a matter of being the pitcher of record when his team takes the lead which is not relinquished. If the starter does not go the minimum five, but leaves with the lead which is not relinquished, the official scorer assigns the W to whichever relief pitcher is most effective in his professional evaluation. If this is the last pitcher, and he entered the game in a save situation, the W takes precedence over the S and no save is awarded.
