this is a tough question to answer because so many different pitchers have been so extremely dominant during their eras that it is hard to say exactly. but you have to have these names in the consideration: walter johnson, cy young, sandy koufax, roger clemens, nolan ryan, christy mathewson. johnson, although he is a future hall of famer, is not quite in the same breath as those previously mentioned
