Those who reject Barry on anecdotal stories of personality forget the raucous life of Babe Ruth and extremely course manner of Ty Cobb, yet these two, and more like them, are elevated to greatness despite personality flaws. We are passionate about the great game of baseball, and history shows greatness between the lines is irrelevant to our perception of life outside the lines. Everyone needs to be held accountable for personal decisions. We play ball with our buddies, but watch pro ball to be entertained. We are confused when we mix the two

Do you think Phillies Manager should be fired?

Someone who is accused of using steroids can never even be CONSIDERED being a best player of all time.

Why did all the Mets players shave their heads?

How can we push for a metro stop at Dodger Stadium?

NO...he is a cheater...I would love it if a pitcher nails him in knee, putting him on the DL for ever...

Serious LA Dodger Fans-RE: Jeff Weaver?

How many homeruns does barry bonds need to break the record?

I think Barry is probably the best steroid induced player in the game. Steroids cause the head to swell and I would love to see Barry put on the old Pirates cap. He would look like the cartoon hey arnold lol. For those not familiar with hey arnold he has hair parted in the middle and his hat rides in the part.

Magglio Ordonez vs. Gary Shefield?

well if you think that then you're the stupidest person of all time...well...behind Barry Bonds

Baseball Uniforms...Why do some teams have the names on the back of the uniform and some don't?

No, but with or without steroids he's top 10 material.

How do i determine slugging percentage in a baseball stat?

If Barr-roid is proven innocent of steriods (hah!), then he will go down as the greatest "power hitter" of all time. Best Baseball Player? No way. He doesn't hustle, whether out in left field or on the base paths. He's the most selfish player in the game. He's widely unpopular, and that's within his ownhouse! The media dislikes him. Fans outside of Frisco hate him. Other players on other teams don't like him much either. And although he "used to" have speed (before he gained weight becuase of steroid use, allegedly!)his arm is a joke (just ask Sid Bream!). Ty Cobb was hated by all in his day, but no one denied that he played the game as well and as hard as anyone who ever wore a uniform.

How does a pitcher get .2 innings pitched?

I don't know what to think about Bonds!! i'm confussed,I do know bonds is taking most of the heat on using roids! When i feel alot of ppl in baseball used or are using roids! I just heard over the weekend some Mets player is gonna come clean on who he sold steroids to,He's gonna blow the lid on alot of players!

Why do Japanese players' numbers go down when they come to MLB?

no babe ruth is besides he is a steroid cheater that should be ban for life and not allowed to get in the hall of fame.

Do you think the St. Louis Cardinals will work out their problems?

i am not sure about that, but I'm exciting with the idea of see in this era, my era, can see Barry to break the Hank Aaron's record

Say yes if you think A-Rod Will opt out of his contract??

Not even close !

What are the ballparks Sammy Sosa has hit a homerun?

No he is a great hitter, but not one of the alltime best. he is juicing. he is a libility in the outfield, and is to stubborn to move to the AL and become a DH. he is fat slow, and big headed. Many are better than him

HANK AARON
Pete Rose
Ty Cobb
Willie Mays

Why is georgie porgie the top baseball answerer?

Barry's definitely one of the top hitters(especially power) of all time. As an overall baseball player, there are lots of players that could be considered better than him. However, people who ignore how good he has been because he allegedly did steroids(something that hasn't actually been proven, and something that there wasn't a rule against until recently) and wish for him to be banned are completely off their rockers. As I've said in other posts on the subject, why don't you guys ask for Jason Giambi to be banned or have his numbers taken away? He admitted to using steroids.

What baseball parks would you say are the easiest and hardest to hit inside the park home runs in?

Short answer--no.
Long answer--HELL, NO!

Babe Ruth is the greatest ballplayer of all time. The Black Sox scandal nearly destroyed baseball, and Ruth did more to rescue baseball than anyone.
Bonds, on the other hand, seems to want to destroy the game all over again. He is a total a**hole.

Is next year finally here for Cubs fans?

I think minus the steroids he would bat .280 and average 20 home runs per year so your answer is NO...the best of the best have been retired or dead for some time now

Nicknames all of the major league teams in 1900?

not the best but one of the best.

Best world series you've ever seen?

No ,he doesn't even make the top 25.
Babe Ruth was the best ballplayer of all time . He had a .342 Career BA w/ 136 triples AND a 2.29 E.R.A to go along with it.
A steroid asisted Bond's will be lucky if he finishes he career with a .300BA

Why does Roger Clemens receive (what I call in this case) Special Treatment?

you are kidding right

Who are the 4 to hit homeruns at shea, yankee stdm, ebbets fld and polo grounds?

even aside from the steroids issue, bonds is still a poor defensive player, a selfish individual, and a player who consistently disrupts team chemistry, so i find it impossible to bring myself to call him the greatest player in history

Who should buy the Cubs: Jerry Colangelo or Mark Cuban?

no way!!not even close to being the best player of all time

Who Did Reggie Jackson hit homers off of when he hit 3 homers in 1 game..?

if u look at barry bonds's stats he is the all-time greatest player. With his MVP's and home runs stolen bases gold gloves and all of the other stats he is the best ever. Although it is likely he used steroids he has never failed a test like Rafael Palmero did so he can't be proved for cheating. I am not a Bonds fan but baseball is a game of stats and he has the all-time greatest stats.

When Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's record how should he handle it?

How can you even think that Barry Bonds is the best player of all time? Babe Ruth had more home runs than alot of teams had. Plus Barry is selfish, will not listen to his team mates. (an example of this was in 1992 game 7 against the Braves). Andy Van Slyke told Barry to move over a few feet. Barry refused, & where was the ball hit? Where Van Slyke told Barry it would go, so Barry makes the worst throw to home plate EVER!!! Even the teammates he has now, really can not stand him.

How do you become a true New York Yankee?

Barry Bonds isn't the best or even second best player if you go by winshares. The top fifteen win share players of all time list looks like this:

Top 15
1. Babe Ruth 756
2. Ty Cobb 722
3. *Barry Bonds 676*
4. Honus Wagner 655
5. Hank Aaron 643
6. Willie Mays 642
7. Tris Speaker 630
8. Stan Musial 604
9. Eddie Collins 574
10. Mickey Mantle 565
11. Ted Williams 555
12. Pete Rose 547
13. Rickey Henderson 535
14. Mel Ott 528
15. Frank Robinson 519

The top 15 current win share leaders are:
Top 10
Clemens: 423
Biggio: 420
*Sheffield: 403*
*Palmeiro: 395*
Bagwell: 388
Maddux: 374
Griffey: 365
Thomas: 364
Manny: 319
A-Rod: 318

If you've never heard of a win share it's a fairly new statistic that has an extremely complicated formula but a man by the name of Bill James wrote a book about it and it is a credible statistic.

It calculates the percentage you helped your team win a baseball game, which makes it really the most important stat in the game, since that is ultimately what baseball is about. Winning.

Best baseball fans?

No I do not. He is a great player before he was accused of taking steroids. Though it has never been proven it's obvious that he has taken performance-enhancing drugs, and that will taint his legacy. I think he would have hit between 550-600 homers but steroids and HGH added length to his career, along with inflated stats.

Is there a limit to 14U travel ball bat size?

He wouldn't even be in the conversation. It comes down to Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays.

Which one of these free agent center fielders would you like to see playing for your team next year?

He is a very good baseball player who before his steriod use showed he had a very good chance for the Hall of Fame. Now, he is a horrible example of how screwed-up baseball has become. His records will always be shunned by the baseball fans who see how obvious his steroid use has produced the homerun record. The steroids did not make him a great hitter, he is a great hitter on his own. The steroids have made him much, much stronger and made it possible to play a longer career so he could reach this tainted record he will likely take away from one of the most respected and honest baseball players of all time, Hank Aaron. Bonds is a sad excuse for a homerun king. Aaron is the homerun king because he did not cheat to acheive his records.

I heared their are going to get rid of the aluminun bats in college baseball?

noooooooooooo babe ruth

What is the best Felix Hernandez baseball card and how much does it worth?

No. He might not even be the best player of his era. The 755+ homeruns and 500 stolen bases notwithstanding, he will never really be remember as being clutch, or hustling, or really anything but being selfish, and this does not even account for the steroid issue. Alex Rodriguez will probably topple his homerun record in the next ten years, and Albert Pujois will got down as one of the better players ever.

What would be the best world series match up?

NO!!!!!!!!!!...
