The Pittsburgh Pirates will never be good because...?
Question:fill in your own blank...some of my thoughts, no power hitter, bad drafting (pitchers who get hurt every year), once some of their players get good, which is rare, they won't pay them and they go to other teams, bad managing, it's a football town, they make bad trades, no one comes to the games, but I think the bottom line is the current club has no hitting.
Answers:
The bottom line is I am pretty much done with baseball until at least one of these 3 things happens.
1. Mcclatchy and the rest sell to someone willing to spend
2. They get a real GM
3. MLB adds a salary cap
Los Angeles Angels (MLB) will not activate on home page?
hell freezes over once in a whileIts said because it is a small market team. I think it has to do with ownership.
Which player do you feel is better Matt Holliday or Manny Ramirez?
What you say is only true until it changes. They'll be good again, but have a lot of work to do. The way baseball has become its up to how much money the owner has and is willing to spend. How many players can a pitcher strike out in a game?
They need to replace Mr. Littlefield.everyone in the front office
Is Aramis Rameriz and Manny Rameriz brothers or are they realted?
Its a small market team. They have some good young talent, but what happens when they become 5 year free agents? The Bucs have to find some way of retaining their own young talent and even sign a decent free agent now and again. And unless the economics of MLB change, or they get an immensely rich owner who is willing to spend more than the team can generate in revenues, I don't know if the Pirates will ever be playoff material-or if they do, they'll end up losing or selling/trading their own 5 year free agent stars and have to start all over again.More Questions & Answers...
