Answers:
How many acres of land would I need to purchase to make a regulation softball field.?
You throw a good fast ball... and you got a good changeup. Ur a tall guy so first base would be a good position for you. Id say pitcher and first base.Who was the bench coach for the Yankees last season?
1B, b/c you're rediculously tall..and idk..3B i guessDo minor league player get pay before they are professional?
don't limit yourself to the positions you can play it will get you to college easier i have the same problem in travel ball i play first and left field and in high school ball i play catcher pitcher and thirdYou should play 1 st base your gonna be tall so you can stretch for those high or wild throws.
At your age, you'll still be playing every position, as will every other player on your team and on every team that you face. On any given day, it's up to your coach, not you, to decide where you play, where you move to during the game, when you play and even IF you play. But if this is your attitude, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see that you rarely, if ever play.
This is about a team and your place on that team. This is also about learning how to play the whole of the game.
Take your place as you coach decides and do your best every time out there. That's called being a team player.
Pitcher and Catcher.
If your dream is to make the big leagues, these are the two positions that you should focus on. They are always looking for arms and catchers that can hit.
If you don't expect to advance that far, just play the positions that you enjoy the most no matter what they are. Have fun!!
a good coach will evaluate your ability and tell you where your best fit.
Why are the undersides of most brims of baseball caps green?
1BLets just say you are Barry Bonds' personal trainer...?
Well, that's a tough question. The position your most cut out to play depends on not only your stats but you. Are you good under pressure? Can you jump high and throw far away when needed? If so, maybe shortstop. But I think you're probably best a catcher. If you have a keen eye and you catch basically anything that's pitched, you can be a catcher. You really have to know what you're doing though. You should know everyone on the opposing team's lineup, IE their strengths and weaknesses so you can sign to the pitcher what and what not to pitch. You should also know your pitcher well, (that includes starter, relief, closer and all.) Again, strong points and weaknesses. You should know to steer clear of all the bad pitches that they can't pull off. Also, you'll have to keep a sharp lookout for the runners on base trying to steal.Hope I could help!
Forgive me if none of this makes sense. I tend to make up my own lingo and get carried away sometimes.
P.S. If you decide to try catcher, I hope you don't mind squatting much. But your tall, (I'm assuming you have long legs here) and that might help you to catch a bit better.
Who is better the Mets or the Yankees?
okay man your not that good dude so don't get cocky.. but follow your heart try out for positions you would like to play... dont ask us we dont no you... if i knew you i would help. but i dont know you.... sorry but since your in teener as i am ask your coach where you wanna play and maybe he'll give you a chanceYou actually have the best chance of making it to "the show" as a catcher. Most guys don't like being a catcher, but many make it because they will to do anything to make it to the bigs, and if you're a great defensive catcher with a strong arm, that's a huge advantage. I knew guys that pitched in the high 70s & low 80s as freshmen in high school. Pitching is a freak thing - you either "have it" or don't. A strong arm doesn't mean much (see Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, Jamie Moyer). Remember, Joe Mauer, easily the best young catcher in the majors, is 6-5. Michael Barrett is 6-3. Stay behind the plate! By the way, read the book "The Umpire Strikes Back" and you'll learn how to "work" with umpires!
How bad are the Padres if the are leaning on rookie Kevin Kouzmanoff to lead them?
"i been catching since i was 4" so I say Catcher and if you have the power you should still play the corners.Since you are only 14 and you could throw in the high 70's you could be a pitcher as you get older and stronger your throwing speed would increase. But honestly I think you are better off hitting. Plus I am jumping way (very far away) ahead of myself but in MLB hitters make more $$,$$$,$$$
But my main suggestion is baseball is a game and the main thing is to have fun so no matter what keep that in mind.
Hope this helps and good luck

170--200 is a pretty big jump.if you are closer to 170, play pitcher.

3B or 1B are all you should really look at
If the leafs and Islanders are tied with 91 points who will make the playoffs?
Its obvious u dont like everyone telling u to play 1st, but im gonna try to sell u on it now: If ur good at it, ul get a hell of a lot of attention, from teammates, coaches and scouts. Whenever u make that amazing backhanded scoop and it looks like nothing, people come up to and give u a pat on the back. Last year in one game i had 5, yes count em, 5 scoops in one game, which is rediculous cuase i shouldnt hav had the chance for that many in the first place.i was in a week infield.well, anyway the coach of the other team found me after the game told me "damn fine game u played First". A good firstbaseman will go a long long long way to improve a teams infield. Whereas pitchers u can find a lot of places, there is a need for them of course, but u play first well enough, and u dont hav to worry about ridin the bench. Same goes with catcher, but i wouldnt if i were u cuase it kills ur knees. I believe the catcher is the most underapreciated player on the field, he controls the pace of the game, but u dont relize it until uve played there, so u prolly know what im talkin about, there is alot of responsibility there. Well, thats my opinion, take it or leave it, but i hope i helpedWhat is the greatest pitching rotation of all time?
Haha! I used to know a 6'1" eighth grader. You guys are rare! lol.Anyway, you pretty much have the freedom to play utility for a while, especially since you're young and you're gonna start high school ball next year. Definitely keep pitching, and I'd suggest third since you're tall and right-handed. If you stick with those two positions, you should be pretty good.
And I wouldn't suggest pitching AND catching. It's not that bad when you're young, but once you get older, you should stick with just one and then rotate that with another position on the field.
So yeah, I vote for pitcher and 3B.
