But I agree with Curt on this, and respect his right to say what he wants, as a fan of the game and as a player who must despise what people like Bonds are doing to the sport's reputation. Bonds has proven to be a jerk time and time again, through his drug use (does anyone REALLY think he never touched steroids?), his actions off the field, the things he has said to the media...just his all around persona. The guy is a grade A jerk. And he is making one of baseballs most respected records an absolute joke.
Everyone should speak out against guys like Bonds, McGuire, Sosa and Palmero. Maybe if these guys felt some pressure from some of their own teammates they wouldn't be in such a selfish hurry to roid up and chase the record books.

I think it's to be expected. Schilling and Bonds have never liked eachother. They've publicly called eachother names and talked about how they didn't like eachother in the past. Curt Schilling's one of those athletes who values his opinion way too much. Sox fans and anti-Bonds people will love Schilling for saying these, but I could care less what he thinks. Schilling is a very decent person. He is courageous, as shown by his performance in the 2004 ALCS and World Series. He is charitable, he does fund-raising for ALS, the fund for Lou Gerhig's disease. He is an openly religious person. He worked for Bush in 2004. He says what he thinks. If he trashed Barry, it's because he feels that Barry has taken unfair advantage by using steroids. Barry has pretty much admitted steroid use. What's his beef. Barry will be loudly booed in Fenway during interleague play, as he probably is everywhere. By contrast, Dave Roberts will be greeted warmly.I know nothing anout baseball!?

those are some strong words on the part of Schilling.. wow.. he didn't say he thought barry took steroids, he flat out said he admitted to taking them, and the wife and the taxes.. wow i dont know what to think.
