What happened to the Cardinals?
Question:The reigning world champs are 15-20, just got shutout *twice* by the Padres this weekend, and are already 9 games behind the (*gasp*) Brewers? I'm sure that it must affect a team tremendously when a tragic death occurs on the staff, but I don't think that could fully explain their current standing in the NL Central.

How do I get rooftop bleacher seats at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philly?
I'm a Cardinals fan, and this has just been horrible to watch this year. A couple of things have gone wrong.1) Chris Carpenter got injured on opening day. He hasn't had a start since then, and is now out about 3 months.
2) Their starting pitching staff was weak before the ace got hurt. This offseason they lost Jeff Suppan, Jason Marquis, and Jeff Weaver. Weaver was one of the main reasons that they won the World Series.
3) There hitting has been awful. Edmonds hasn't produced and neither has ROlen or Pujols. Because of the lack of protection in the lineup Pujols has been getting bad pitches to hit. He has also been trying to carry the entire team on his back.
4) Josh Hancock was a huge loss for the Cardinals. He has made a rough start even rougher. Trying to win games in the major leagues is tough enough, but trying to deal with a death at the same time is just almost impossible.
What happened? Reality! Pujols needs to start playing and their pitchers need to pull their heads out of their as*es!
What brand glove and model does Carlos Beltran wear, and where can I get one?
The one man show of Albert Pujols is gone,,,,THat is the main reason, the Cards won the WS with Pujols himself and a little help of Eckstein and proved that he doesn't need Rolen or Edmonds...
Also, Carpernter is hurt, and without him, the pitching became just sad...
Who was the last player to hit a home run in his 1st at bat?
I am (or used to be) a big Cards fan. I agree, and think it's mainly Pujols- the Cards are nothing without him. He really needs to step up.14-3.Are the Sox ballin or am I seeing things?
You need Pujols and Rolen to step it up, as well as young hurlers like Reyes and Wainright to get more consistent. It's anybody's division this year.stay positive!Who is the best blue collar MLB team.?
well, they haven't had a good stretch where more than a couple of players are actually getting good hits. pujols had a good hit streak a few games back, rolen a couple or so good hitting games, and duncan had a good start, but they haven't put anything together consistently in terms of producing and scoring runs. as a team, they are hitting only 0.234. their pitching and defense hasn't really been good enough to counter the lack of offense. i know it's tough to lose the team's ace on practically the first game of the season and probably more so dealing with a death in the organization, but as a fan, i'm hoping they can put together a good stretch from now until september.More Questions & Answers...
