i would have to say Lo Duca because he gets the little things done by getting the runners over, and sacrifice flies. He also knows how to go the opposite way very well and always gets on base for beltran to drive in. If i had a second choice it would Endy Chavez just because whenever he comes in for some reason the mets win, he plays great Defence as we all saw in game 7 he has electric speed, and he just brings the good out in people.Why is Ichiro's first name on the back of his jersey?
Maybe co-captains, with Wright and LoDuca. Wright because of the way he's consistently played. And perhaps LoDuca because he's got that catcher mentality, keeping the pitchers focused and consistent. Catcher's have a tough job but LoDuca delivers huge.Teams don't have to have a captain.
Getting a captain should be something that just happens, something that you shouldn't have to have. Whatever player seems to show the most leadership and other qualities a captain should have, should be a captain. They should be able to put their team before their own personal stats. They should stay with the team for most of their career, so they can become like a franchise player.

Definately Carlos Beltran. Not only is he one of the best players on the team (I said one of the best because I dont want anyone being all 'hes not the best' even though he is) but he definately knows how to ac in public, not cursing at the media or yelling at the umpire for a called dtrike three. Carlos is a veteran player and will make a good captainIn your list of players you left off the guy who is one of the smartest guys in the MLB and one of the best leaders. Tom Glavine. Well i would say Reyes but i think he needs to be able to speak english. So then i would say WrightShould MLB go back to 154 game schedule and add more Double Headers?
This is a tough call. I would have to say LoDuca because he has a better overall knowlegde of the game and his ablility to see what other players are doing wrong.If Julio Franco was a everyday player he would be a good choice.
I would say Paul Loduca because even though he's not an a mazing player he's a veteran so he can teach the young guys what to do, he can energize the team very well, and people look up to him as the guy with the answers so he would be the good choice. Although Wright and Reyes are great players, they are too young to lead a team, because if a captain makes silly errors the teams chemistry is gone. Delgado swings for the fences too much and I think the experience of Loduca overcomes Beltran's hot bat.

yea ill say LoDuca because the catching position is the most important in the game and he has to take charge and make sure the pitcher is well maintained if hes not he groups up the team to relax them. Yea LoDuca !LoDuca and Delgago because they both are such leaders.
