Does anyone have any suggestions on groups of stadiums that might be close so that we can visit and watch a game in a weeks time.

Actually you could hit Detroit,Cincy,Pittsburgh,Cleve... and Toronto really easily. 4 of the 5 are newer stadiums. Detroit -Cincy and Pitt are really-really new. I have been to all 5-and they are all within a 180 mile or less radius. Jacobs Field in Cleveland GIVES YOU a great ballpark tour for 5 dollars--you sit in the dugouts--go into the Indians clubhouse-weightroom and training room. You go underneath the field to the underground player batting cages. You also get to hang out for a while in the loges and you go up to the pressbox and see how to "Call a game" from the radio and TV booths. Not to mention Cleveland has a Hall OF Fame in Centerfield called Heritage Park-an awesome area in left field called the Batters Eye (Daiquri Factory)...Detroit (Commerica) is another fantastic park not 2 hours drive from Cleveland--very fun. Toronto and Pitt are both 1 1/2 hours from Cleveland--and Cincy is 3 hours South in Southwestern Ohio...good luck--I envy you!!! Not to Mention you will LOVE MID-WEST BASEBALL...it's old fashioned and really a great part of the American Tradition.

Mariners, other than the mariners you've seen every team on the west coast.

Do Phillies fans miss Bobby Abreu?

Close proximity is only part of the equation. You also have to make sure that each team will be playing at home during that time. Take the SF Bay Area for instance - the A's and Giants rarely play at home at the same time. So if you are doing a cross-country tour, you need to print out the schedules of all teams, then a US map highlighting all team stadium cities, and collaborate between those sources to make efficient use of your travel time.

Good luck and have fun! I always wanted to do that too!

Who was the first player to steal 500 bases and hit 200 home runs?

No groupings. You will love Chase Field in Arizona, though. I'm a transplanted Northeasterner who's been used to the classics like Fenway Park, and Yankee Stadium. Chase Field though features cleanliness. Modern amenities. There's a swimming pool area just past the right center wall that can be rented for group outings. Theres a retractable roof so on really hot matinee games you won't boil. Summer nights a starry skied wonders. Three closeable shudders impose in deep center to promote airflow. State of the art facility with angles and shelves in play to add character. At $50 a shot sections 205 and 206 are pefect for me and my folks. I'm rambling, sorry. But as far as groupings go, the Norteast is more local.

Who are the top high school baseball pitchers this spring?

We did a trip a few years ago where we flew into Pittsburgh and rented a car. Then we went to Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, both New York stadiums, as well as the horse tracks at Philadelphia Park and Saratoga, AND Atlantic City all in about 9 days. We spent a lot of time driving, very little sleeping, but what a rush! It is the type of trip that every guy says they WANT to do, but so few actually really get up and do. I am so glad that I did it! You will be, too! Have fun!
