It is not dangerous for the pitcher as it is not thrown harder than playing catch in the backyard. Sometimes he pitcher sometimes tighten their shoulder muscles too much when attempting to throw the ball without a spin.The only problem with a knuckleball (actually thrown with the finger tips) is that when it does not flutter like a butter fly it can fly like a rocket. A bad knuckleball is just as effective as a batting practice speed fastball.

I can't throw a knuckle ball at all. It is extremely difficult to do so. I don't think its how much it will hurt you, just how hard it is to throw. I say that because most people will think they know how to throw it, but odds are they aren't throwing it right and are hurting their shoulder. If you do throw a knuckle(Which is one of the hardest pitches to hit in my opinion) make sure you do it correctly!Hope this helps!

Honestly...no. Knuckle balls are typically way slower then other pitches, so if you don't want to give the opposing team a lot of hits, don't throw knuckles.I know that I ALWAYS hit kuckles when I play

If the teen can master it and isn't afraid to give up some hits and runs at first, then yes. It is a pitch that isn't seen very often, and the best knucklers can confuse even the greatest hitters. It also puts a lot less strain on the shoulder and elbow, and can extend careers.Doesn't hurt your arm. If you throw a good one, it's hard to hit, if not, you end up looking stupid because you lob a softball pitch up there. Practice it A LOT to get the right action down. As far as hurting your arm though, you can't with a knuckler.
