Why does everyone underestimate the reds?

Question:We have a shot to win the divison but why does everyone bash us

Answers:

Where were you when?

WOW!! who ever said the reds are overated are stupid. They were not out of the playoff race until game 161. So how the hell is that overated. They have good pitching with Arron Harang and Bronson. Milton SUCKS and losch and besile are good young starters. The reds p;lay great ball. So u heard it here first that they will win 90 games this year

Why are pitchers FAT and HAIRY, does it help their mechanics?

Because theyre not very good? Sorry, but they arent. They have questionable sarting pitching, and bullpen, and they have inconsistant offense.

Why isn't Vern (Junior) Stephens in the Baseball Hall of Fame (or at least up for consideration)?

Sure you havea shot to win that division, everyone in that division has a shot.

Were can i find cheap Dodger tickets??

underestimate? you mean overestimate.. the reds are one of the worst teams in baseball dude

Are you against Bonds breaking the homerun record? Why or why not?

As a Royals fan I feel your pain. The Reds just aren't that good. If they win the division, it's because the division stinks. See how they would do in the AL Central (Tigers, Twins, Indians, and White Sox). They would be in last place, just like my beloved Royals. Sorry, just being honest.

Should Jesse Jackson have any right to tell the atlanta GM how to do his job?

Because they're no good. That and they have a history of being bad. When a team has been bad for so long they won't get any respect until they earn it.

What is joe torre email?

Anyone can win that division. Whatever team does win that dreadful division is gonna be knocked out in the NLDS anyway.

Mets vs Yanks and family woes?

all 6 teams in that division but in my eyes the reds have the least chance the inconsistant pitching kinda ok offense kinda ok defense but bullpen isnt good

What is your favorite Baseball stadium in which you have seen a game at?

Because Ken Griffey will get hurt and wins wont come as easy later in the season. They are having a good start, but the real question is how do you finish?

In MLB drafts, what is a sandwich pick?

To answer your question because they haven't been good in a long time! However, being underestimated is an advantage, so in a perverse sense it gives them a chance to win extra games.

I'm a Red Sox fan, but I loved the Reds when I was a kid (Bench, Rose, Perez, Concepcion, etc.). While I don't honestly think they can win the division, I do think they are on the right track. If Dunn can get that BA up, he could be an elite player and the Reds have provided him with specialized coaching to try to do just that. Furthermore, I like Freel, Ross, Phillips, and Encarnacion (all who might benefit from getting their BA up, but have tons of potential). I LOVE Harang (been beating people over the head in Fantasy Baseball with him for 2 years) and he is just now getting a bit of respect. They picked up Arroyo who has also blossomed and they have a couple young guys in the wings.

While not ready yet, I do believe, with proper management and a few nice pick ups (one or two bats, some mid relief, and a solid closer), they can be there in a couple years.

Best closerr?

The reason that everyone bashes the Reds is that every year the Reds start off hot then they tend to fall off do to insufficient pitching. This year will be different because with the offense that The Reds have and with the resurgent bullpen they have put together I feel the reds will have an ample shot to surprise alot of people this year in the National League Central. If the Reds can solidify at least one more great starting pitcher and can also solidify their closers position I think the Reds are primed for a breakout season. GO REDS!!!

Whyis Dodger Stadium nicknamed Chevez Revine?

the same reason as every year, they have no pitching. At least Aaron Harang is good, but not a lot else. Also Griffey will get hurt and Adam Dunn will try to break his own strikeout record again.

Name baseball records that will never be broken?

History. April constitutes little and Reds management has time and time again traded away their best and brightest. They are not serious in competing for a title. They are more concerned in gathering profit sharing monies by consistently staying well below the price cap. This ensures a profit for shareholders at the end of the season, a continuous milking from teams willing to pay for talent (and titles!) and a consistently disappointed fan base come October. If by chance Cincy is near the top of the division come the trading deadline, you can bet they will cash in on players with value to obtain lower valued ones. If they are out of it then they will have a fire sale, again to show profits for shareholders.

Wake up in Cincy folks. You're getting fleeced year after year and you ignore it because you once had Pete Rose and Johnny Bench.

Did baseball really originate in america?

People outside of Cincinnati are unaware of the depth in pitching that we appear to have this year. Livingston and Bailey would have easily make the team in years past. Our bullpen is excellent and the offense will soon begin to click as they look like they will be more aggressive on the base paths. I am concerned about Freel so far. I would like to see him as the 4th outfielder. He seems much better when he plays in spells. So, don't worry about those who doubt us. Buy a Josh Hamilton jersey and I'll see you at Gameday, McFadden's, or Headfirst after the games.
