Why Negro Leagues?
Question:I'm doing a research paper on the Negro Leagues and I need to know why they were made and why they were important. I NEED sources. I mean I know because it is common knowledge but I can't find it anywhere.

The Negro Leagues were a collection of Baseball teams set up so African Americans could play Baseball. Back in the early 1900's like most things Baseball was segregated, and only white players could play. The negro leagues gave black baseball players a chance to play. the color barrier was broken by jackie robinson which opened the door for more black players in the majors.Won't someone please bring a goat to wrigley?
