Why do some people think Armstrong never cheated but Bonds did?
Question:One got caught red handed, with witnesses, even tested positive. The other was accused by book sellers who claimed to have "leaked" grand jury info in which the accused allegedly took cream that somehow resembled a drug which is not even considered steroid.
Double standard or favorism?

Lance Armstrong didn't grow like 15 sizes midway through his career. Barry Bonds suddenly went from a skinny normal looking guy to a giant whose neck was wider than his waist!

I would lean on the fact that Armstrong beat cancer. That's going to keep him safe for a while. He's a hero to beat it and then keep competing and continue to dominate in his sport. That's my opinion anyway! :)

alright look the man had freakin cancer alright i think its kind of hard to say the man was taking steroids for the wrong reason he was on his death bed virtually and is a sports miracle in my mind.Just look at Bonds in his rookie year with the pitt pirates remember taht sleak quick barry bonds who used to steal bases yea forget about that after he started doing who knows what I mean i guess he felt out shined by sosa and mcgwire and heard that mark was using andro and decided to shoot up and pop some pills too
the bottom line is Armstrong was practically dieing and just trying to get back on his feet and it has never been proven that either of them have taken substances but just think about it look at pictures of Armstrong then bonds through the years

It's hard for me to say 100%, but I can give an opinion. Maybe it's because people fell in love with Armstrong's story. He overcame cancer to come back and reach the top of his sport, while also being very charitable and likable. Then proceeded to dominate his sport for a long time. Bonds has never been liked by the press or the masses. They have a way to throw him under the bus now and they're doing it. He's taking the sole blame for 2 decades of steroid use in baseball. Sad, but true. People will always love Armstrong because they want to believe in his great story and toss out any thoughts of him possibly cheating.What pitcher has Barry Bonds hit the most hrs against?

I think there are two reasons here. First, Bonds was never a nice guy in the first place and has even been unpopular with his teammates. Second, Bonds (from grand jury testimony) was supposed to have taken steroids unknowingly (which is ridiculous, no athlete puts anything in their body they don't know about). People want to believe Armstrong is innocent because frankly, who doesn't want to believe something like that miracle can occur. Also, when both are confronted about taking steroids, here are the responses:Bonds -.....crickets, crickets..nothing.
Armstrong - i didn't use steroids, and i will prove it to you, i took many blood samples, ect, ect.
Lance is always ready to backup his innocence, Bonds never bothers because everyone knows your head doesn't grow 5 hat sizes during your career. I am no doctor, but you aren't supposed to continue growing in your late 30's.

Lance worked extremely hard never waisted time challenged himself over and over and won, not just once but 6 more times to prove to himself and the world he's not a CHEATER but a WINNER... as far as bonds is concerned all he ever did was bi*ch, bi*ch, bi*ch, about whatever ailed him, he's a negative pompous cheater..call it double standard and favoritism i don't care.... Lance Armstrong Rocks and is one hell of a Man and Athlete.... Peace to you..
