Barry Bonds Speach?
Question:Baring an injury, WHEN Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's HR record, what does he say in his speech? Does he mention the steroid investigation? The media and their role in his career? I would like to see him avoid any mention of it directly. Bonds was a hall of fame player before any question with the steroid issue. After this season, he will go down as one of the greatest players ever...EVER! The problem with this, for most people, is they believe steroids allowed him to have the success he has had. For anyone who didnt live during Bond's career, his stats will speak for themselves. That brings up another issue. There may be an asterik put next to his name if anything is proved against him. I dont agree with the asterik. Do you? I dont believe Pete Rose has one by his name, and he's BANNED from baseball! His was'nt performance enhancing, though. I guess my question is, what does he say during his speech after HR 756, which is hopefully in San Fran.

Bonds is a major league cheater as are McGuire and Sosa. I have heard the argument that steroids don't help you to hit the ball but the added strength increases the distance he hits some of the balls. Instead of going to the warning track they are home runs. It does not take a rocket scientist to see the tremendous physical change he underwent in such a short time. I doubt it is because he eats his Wheaties. Bonds, Mcguire and Sosa and everyone else cheating are stains on the league , in the same class as the "Black Socks" scandal.Bonds won't say anything about steroids and he did use them. a grown man's head doesn't grow sizes naturally. if he didn't use steroids he'd probably max out around 500 to 550 HRs.

I'd like him to make a full disclosure as to what he took to break this record. Don't suppose that will happen, though. . . .It makes little difference to me, as I won't be watching it. I'd rather watch flies f*ck than see him play baseball.
The steroids didn't make his head grow larger; that was the result of using HGH. However, according to Greg Anderson's (his personal trainer who is still in jail on Bonds' behalf) list of things Bonds was taking includes HGH, Depo-Testosterone, Clomid, Modafinil, Trenbolone, insulin and EPO. And that was in 2001. Yes, he was a no-doubt Hall of Famer before he started using in 1999. But consider that 331 of his homers (including this year) have come in the last nine seasons and that's with him missing almost all of 2005 due to "injuries". His first 411 homers took him 13 seasons to get. Had he homered at his current rate his first 13 seasons, he would have accumulated 593 by 1999. Five of his six best years for home runs have come since 1999. Since MLB doesn't test for probably a quarter of what's available on the high end steroid market, nor does it test for HGH which makes steroid use harder to detect since one can use less with better effect, and given the anecdotal and statistical evidence on Barry, there is no question he has been and probably still is a heavy steroid user. He would not be in the position he's in without steroids. So it would be in his best interest to simply tip his cap and keep his mouth shut when he passes Aaron. Knowing Barry, however, he won't.
