Sorry Jason. You coulda done BETTER without the roids. You don't need them, you're a good enough DH! I had big hopes for you. But now...
Is it a turn on for a guy when a girl knows her baseball?
no! going on drugs are cheating!!!!!!!!...What does it mean when a pitcher is described as a "gas can"?
i actually do. they looked beyond allegations and voted on performance. no player except canseco has fully been confirmed to have used steoids or admitted it. its all guesswork now.Why are there no left handed second basemen?
The problem with debating whether or not a player deserves to be in the Hall of Fame is it is so subjective. There are a few guys that dont get proper consideration because they werent always very nice to reporters and some guys got voted in because they were fringe hall of famers and were particularly likeable players (a quick look at numbers of some Hall members compared to others at their position and you get the idea). And if they target just the steroid users should we respect that they voted in others that were always suspected of some form of cheating? More than one pitcher in the Hall have come forward later and admitted to "doctoring" baseballs. How about some of the guys who made the Hall based on their ability to steal bases...a couple of them admitted that they had guys in the stands...in the scoreboards...monitoring TV's...basecoaches...etc. stealing signs. Were they truly great basestealers or were they merely fast guys who cheated to gain an edge and put up great numbers? Cheating comes in many forms and the average fan doesnt realize all the ways to cheat but I gaurantee you most writers know a little something about the unsavory side of baseball. It has gone on since the game was invented and will continue in some form throughout time and the very writers who vote are well aware of most of baseballs secrets. Depending on which former major leaguer is asked the numbers of guys using one form or another of illegal drugs is anywhere from 10% to 60% so who do we believe. Do we exclude only the highly suspected and hated? What about the freakish type athlete? Do we assume he is a freak of nature or suspect he is a cheater? For example is Roger Clemens truly capable of being a dominant pitcher with the same fastball in his mid forties as he had in his prime? Most pitchers lose the abilty to dominate in their early to mid thirties.is he cheating or a once in a lifetime pitcher? And how can we be truly sure?Obviously this question is directed at Bonds.I think we all know he used and MLB has 5 years after he retires to make its case against him. If they can prove he cheated (or the courts can) then the answer is simple...if they cant then we as fans have to respect the will of the writers either way just the same as we do with every other Hall of Fame member they vote in based on the numbers. Or we can weed out every Hall member who has cheated at some point in their career.
depends on how they vote. if barry bonds doesnt get in, but say someone like sammy sosa does, then no because theyre not voting based on allegations, theyre voting based on whos a nice guy. i think if they dont allow some of the great hitters because they might be on steroids, then none of them should get in
Who are some of the best defensive players by position?
no. i do not think that anyone using drugs like that should be able to get in. in fact, if someone that did use them is in there, they should be takne out if they are still alive. What happened to WGN I thought they broadcast all the Cubs games?
If they vote for Palmeiro I'd have an issue with it...he had a positive test. As far as anyone else they were only suspected of using and there is no proof they actaully did it. If they vote for someone where there is a positive test or some other concrete proof they used I think thats wrong. Simply being suspected of it isn't a enough to keep them out if the numbers are there.More Questions & Answers...
