Which MLB team do most people in Orange County (OC, O.C.) support? Angels or Dodgers?
Go with your passion and play shortstop and back up pitcher. It's terrible to be that full of yourself at 14.
Whos your favorite Astro last ten years?
Well.frankly you are too young to have a great slider. And if you do,that means you started throwing it at a early age which means if you keep pitching you will more than likely have arm trouble when you get older.Plus you are entering high school ball now.74 as a fastball is meat unless you can locate it well.I would say center field or shortstop given your height and speed.Center more than likely as you are light as well.as long as your team has a better pitcher, you could play shortstop. or you could become a substitute pitcher.
You are going into high school shortly. You really do not need to have a position. I have seen them take the reliever from the o/f and i/f. Those 8 pitches hopefully are just a couple of adjustments to a fastball, curve, slider, and change up. That is a lot of pitches for a 14 year old. You do not have to sit out when you pitcher where I am located. I think that the pitcher is only protected MBL and their minor leagues.
Alright let's hear the best joke about your most hated team...?
Work on your accuracy or you won't be able to play anywhere. You sound alot like me, I had all your qualities , but I was very accurate.
I was a pitcher and shortstop in High school and Left fielder in College. now that i look back I wish I would have stuck to pitching instead of infielder or outfielder. I was better at pitching by nature. but always wanted to practice playing the field.
So my advice to you is to pick ONE and stick with it. sounds like you can play any of them, so pick the one you have the best gift for. Good luck
Players that are hurting there team by not retiring?
Sorry kid, but u dont hav 8 diferent pitches until u throw ACURATELY. Unless ur pitches are: High, Low, Inside, Outside, Up and away, Up and in, Down and away, Down and in. I dont care how fast u throw the ball unless u can get it in the strike zone. That is the only place your pitches do any good.Who was the American League Batting Champion in 1983?
I would have to agree you sure have all the ability to be a short stop connsidering your height with speed for your age on the other hand its not always about what you want its about whats best for the team if you are one of the best pitchers on your team than by all means you should be a pitcher b/c that is going to better your chances of your team winning more games compared to having a pitcher that pitches fat every time leaving you to work very hard at either short stop or outfield position which is only going to wear that great durability that you have now even worse possible injury further more I strongly discourage playing outfield your team needs you there in infield with your ability also look at that fact that as pitcher and being a good hitter as well if you slip a few fat ones every now and then you can make up for it with that bat then leaving your speed to giving the top of the line up better chances at rbi also consider the fact that you are only 14 playing for this team at this time later down the road your next coach might actually see you better fit at the short stop position I believe by what I hear about you atleast on paper that you will go far in the game possibly pros most likely as infield player pitcher will be determined later on down the line but by all means to answer your question THER IS NO I IN TEAM always think team team team team your team always comes first so if your team needs you as a pitcher step up to the mound get those k's and win some games for your teamWho's pitching in tomorrows Dodgers D-Backs game?
It sounds like you are a multi tool athlete. By that I mean you have several skills which are useful in several positions. I see no reason why at age 14 you should restrict yourself to 1 position. Why don't you ask to pitch and play shortstop or outfield when you are not pitching. Lots of really good position players in the major leagues were pitchers in their younger days. One would be Steve Finley, the fine outfielder for the Colorado Rockies. He is from my hometown and he was a pitcher in High School. What active ballplayer do you think is the best all around hitter playing today?
I would play outfield. You are very fast so they can not get extra base hits. You always have a cut off man to throw to so you can throw it to him no problem. My next position would be 3rd base. You are fast, and they call third base the hot spot. My last positions for you wold be pitcher and catcher because, like you said, you have bad accuracy. It does not matter how fast you throw, but how accurate you are is what matters.National League Champs; Dodgers, Mets, or Cubs.?
be like david ecstein play shortstopWhat happened to Brian Daubach?
How about Left Out?Any kid with an ego like yours has no place in team sports. If you can get over yourself, you might be O.K.
