Newbury college lost a game 57 - 1 during this NCAA baseball season. It's D - 3, but still, 57 - 1? That's absurd.

The player's party before the 2005 All-Star Game.

But you're probably a bit more interested in actual games. The Pirates trashed the Cubs in 1975, and the Indians destroyed the Yankees in 2004, both by scores of 22-0. Biggest shutouts ever. There's been a very few equal or larger wining margins but those are the top shutouts.

The first poster nailed it. A side note on the Pirates - Cubs game...Rennie Stennett tied an MLB record by going 7 for 7 in a 9 inning game.

Do you think Travis Buck will get Al rookie of the year?

Since you emphasized "history of baseball" and not Major League, I'll go with the 1902 minor league game where Corsicana massacred Texarkana, 51-3. A difference as you can see of 48-runs.
It took place in Ennis Texas June 15, 1902. That is also the game that Jay Justin "Nig" Clarke hit eight (8) homeruns, still a professional baseball record.
Clarke was a catcher and when he went to the Bigs, he caught the no-hitter thrown by Addie Joss.
Clarke also has the distinction of having a runner steal first base on him which is another story.

Did anyone other than Frank Robinson win a MVP in both leagues?

You'd have to go back to the early history of MLB (I presume you mean MLB) to look at some of the scores there. MLB is generally dated back to 1876.
