Do people in Brooklyn still want the Dodgers to come back?

Question:its been like 49 years shouldn't they get over it. they got the mets to replace them but instead of bulding a new legacy with them they got the mets building a replica of Ebbets field.

You'll probably find some old-timers like that back there, but not many. Losing the team hurt a lot, but most of those fans are dead. That was almost 50 years ago. It just isn't an issue.

I agree with David. For most Brooklynites now, the sport of choice is basketball, not baseball, and the Nets will be moving to Brooklyn in a few years or so.

In the 60's shortly after Shea stadium opened, i went there to see a doubleheader between the Mets and Dodgers. The attendane was over 50,000. People came to see the Dodgers, but they were cheering for the Mets.
Mets;lost 1st game 3-1. 2nd game a tie, 1-1 , called after 5,, due to rain.
