David Glass-(Royals) : very low payroll, low attendance, bad marketing, and he was a former Wal-Mart exec so he crooked

Arturo Moreno-(Angels) : The LA Angels of Anaheim ? , what moron thinks Anaheim is anywhere close to LA, and why was he allowed to name it that riducluos name.

When will the Red Sox waive Julian Tavarez?

worst- angelos of the orioles

Why is Ichiro's first name on the back of his jersey?

BEST: George Steinbrenner. He will do what it takes to win, no matter what. He's balls to the wall every year.

WORST: 29-way tie for second place. Which, when you think about it, is really no place at all.

When playing asa travel ball can you have a child on more than one roster?

Yeah he is a smarty guy, but i think the worst manager in MLB is JOE TORRE he can't get anything togethor with the yankees.

If this stat is kept, what is the most pitches ever fouled off in one at bat?

Peter Angelos is a terrible owner for the Oreols. Look at all the talent they have on offence, and they continue to just blow at the end of the season. All he has to do is go out in the offseason and get a couple of good pitchers, and they could make a good playoff run, and they still haven't in what?... like 10 years now?

I up grade to the baseball plus on 4/17/07 and some of the teams had player in their starting line up brfore t

The best: George Steinbrenner. Need I say more. The guy wants to win. Well, alright...who doesn't want to win? But Steinbrenner is different and is the best because he goes out and puts a winning team out onto the field year in and year out.

And for the worst, it definitely has to be Kevin McClatchy of the Pittsburgh Pirates, although Robert Nutting replaced him as controlling owner of the franchise during the off-season. Or I guess both of them have owned the Pirates together, but nobody here in Pittsburgh is really sure. What we do know is that it has been long overdue for new ownership.

First lets start out with the current 14 straight losing seasons, with him/them being the owner of the team for the past 10 seasons. Over this period of time, we have seen poor roster management such as awful drafting and free agent acquisitions. Below are some examples

First, let's take a look at their drafting:

1997, picking 8th, they choose J.J. Davis, he of a .179 average in 106 MLB at-bats to date. Anyone think #16, Lance Berkman, would look good in a Pirate uni right now?

1998, picking #15, they choose Clint Johnston, a pitcher who never rose above AA. They passed on a couple other pitchers you may have heard of: C.C. Sabathia, Brad Lidge (He may not be doing well right now, but he's still a good pitcher), and Mark Prior (putting all DL appearences aside, come on...it's Mark Prior).

1999, picking 8th, it's Bobby Bradley, one of many Pirate pitchers who would blow out his arm. They passed on #9 Barry Zito, #10 Ben Sheets, #12 Brett Myers, and #19 Alexis Rios. Wow.

2000, picking 19th, time for Sean Burnett, another Pirate of the blown out arm variety.

2001, 8th again, the card says John Van Benschoten, record-setting HR hitter for Kent State. Of course, the Pirates turn him into a pitcher and he blows out his arm. By the way, they missed out on #25 Bobby Crosby, #26 Jeremy Bonderman, and #38 David Wright.

2002, #1, and it's Bryan Bullington. Yep, blown out arm. Who'd we miss this year? BJ Upton, Prince Fielder, Jeremy Hermida, Scott Kazmir, Nick Swisher, Jeff Francoeur...

Now it seems like it's the same story with last years draft pick, Brad Lincoln, the 4th overall draft pick in 2006. He will miss at least a year after undergoing Tommy John surgery on April 2nd.

I know that injuries happen and are unfortunate, but when your team's #1 draft pick is a pitcher, and they end up blowing their arms out year after year, it's tough on a franchise such as the Pirates.

Now comes the free agent signings, trades, and contract extensions:

The signings of Derek Bell (2000) and Raul Mondesi (2004). Both of these guys were already well into their decline. Bell stole $10 million and literally bought a boat and sailed into the sunset. Mondesi was signed in February, and by May he pretty much just up and quit the team.

2003: Pirates trade 3B Aramis Ramirez and OF Kenny Lofton to the Cubs for 2B Bobby Hill, 3B Jose Hernandez, and minor leaguer Matt Bruback. Yeah, great move there.

2001: Pirates trade P Jason Schmidt traded to the Giants (with OF John Vander wal) for P Ryan Vogelsong and OF Armando Rios. Schmidt would blossom into one of the majors' finest starters. Rios had all of three at-bats with the Pirates before an injury. He responded with a mediocre 76 game run in 2002, was released after the season, and appeared in only 49 more MLB games.

1999: Pirates sign IF Pat Meares. He was signed to an extension before the 2000 season, and was paid nearly $15 million over the next four years in exchange for 219 games, a .230 average, and unofficial position as clubhouse martyr after an injury debate with the team.

1999: Pirates sign 1B Kevin Young to a 6-year, $24 million contract. Young hit.300 in '97, followed by .270/27/108 in 1998. The Pirates responded by tossing him $24 million over the next four years. As a thank you, Young responded with the following seasons:
2000: .258/20/88
2001: .232/14/65
2002: .246/16/51
2003: .202/2/7 (mercifully cut after 52 games)

2000: Pirates sign C Jason Kendall to 6-year, $60 million contract. The pressure was mounting on the Pirates to build upon some cornerstones for the future with the christening of PNC Park in 2001. Kendall was a hard worker who had come back from a horrendous ankle injury in 1999. Unfortunately, after the signing, Kendall seemed to lose any of the little power he had while simultaneously polluting the clubhouse with a sour attitude towards young players. He has averaged three home runs per season since 2002.

If this doesn't qualifiy for the worst ownership, then I don't know what does.

John Buck??

i think the red sox ownership is best
