Do you think the Braves pitching staff of Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz is the best ever?

Question:

Answers:

Who will win the world series this year?

I for one think they were the best rotation of all time, but here are some challengers.

Dodgers of the mid 60's (Koufax, Drysdale). Orioles of the early 70's (Palmer, McNally, Cuellar).

One year the Orioles had 4 20 game winners.

I didn't put 1920's or earlier because it isn't fair to compare these eras.

Do you think pitchers are overpaid?

NO, way!

What would you rather see at a major league baseball game?

With out a doubt and if Avery would have stayed healthy they would have been even better. The only one that could have ever came close was if Zito, Hudson, and Harden all still pitched together. Name one that was better?

Do you think Alex Rodriguez is on steroids??

I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan and I have to say when this group got broken up I almost cried. I'd have to say if they aren't the best ever they are very close.

How good is John smoltz 1-10?

Yes. Those 3 in there prime were awesome.

How to throw a baseball?

I think that it was a very good pitching staff and if they would have stayed together a little longer they could have maybe been the best ever.

Thought at their prime, I dont' think you could find three better pitchers to pitch for you. Put those three in a row, and you would almost have batters scared.

How to heal a thrown-out arm?

they were the most dominate group in the 1990s... i wouldn't say ever though. NYY HAD a great staff too in the early 2000s.

Video fo top 10 baseball plays on yahoo homepage this afternoon?

Absolutely, All three Hall of Famers. I challenge someone to name a better one.

Where and when did KC Royals star Bo Jackson hit his 12th HR of the 1988 season? Who was the pitcher?

They are in the discussion thats for sure, short list might include

Braves Trio
Dodgers with Koufax and Drysdale
Mets with Ryan and Seaver
Orioles staff in the 70s

but I would make them 1 and 1a with the Dodgers of the 50s

If you caught a baseball at a game from a batter on a team that you hate, would you keep it? Or throw it back?

One of the best. You would have to give some consideration to Koufax, Drysdale, and Johnny Podres on the Dodgers in the 1960's and Palmer, McNally, and Cuellar on the Orioles in the 1970's.

Devil rays or mets?

YES! for braves fans its just too bad they didnt have the hitting to match the pitching, they would have been a dynasty if that was the case

The Cubs are for sale- who do you think is going to buy franchise?

Quite good, but not the best ever. Remember, Smoltz was a relief pitcher for much of the time Maddux and Glavine were starting for the Braves.

Chow!!
