Depends on a couple things...Ortiz and Ramirez.Will Ortiz's heart problem from late last season resurface and put him out for some time? Will Manny break a fingernail and take three weeks off? They say pitching wins championships and the Sox are strong there but you have to have some kind of offense to go with it.The Sox have shown their offense is impotent when Ortiz and Ramirez miss time so those two guys really need to stay healthy to maintain.When they were both out last season the pitching wasn't enough and the team struggled for those few weeks.They surely have the talent to win the World Series but so do alot of other teams.The health of Ortiz and Ramirez along with the health of their pitching staff will be the make or break for this year's SoxIf history serves as a guide, come September, they will be looking up at the Yankees.

the redsox are an obvious playoff team because of their pitching alone. the reason they will win the World Series is because nobody will be able to beat them in a 7 game series facing Beckett-Schilling-Matsuzaka-Wa... Their bullpen has an ERA of below 2 so far thanks to Papelbon, Okajima, and Donnelly.How far "can" they go? They can easily go all the way if they keep playing like they are, and their pitching stays on track.

I would love to see Boston on top all year but, I would never predict it based on the first month..You can never tell. I love them and root for them no matter how the year plays out. Of course I think they will make it all the way to the World Series and win it!!Why are the amount of teams in the AL and NL unbalanced?
