Are the Yankees finished this year as far as the playoffs go?

Question:I don't think so because their lineup could explode at any time and they have the most dangerous hitter in baseball, A-Rod. I know their pitching staff is awful but their offense can get it done. They better hope and pray Clemens can give them their money's worth or the bombers are finished.

Is the miken manaic 484 a double wall or single wall?

This seems to happen every year now. The Yankees spot the Redsox a big lead and then comeback to win the division, clemens, Musina, Petit , Wang and Hughes will be the best staff in the majors by the end of the year. The lineup speaks for itself. Chemistry is the only issue, and the Rocket will remedy that. Look for the Yankees to win the division by double digits!

WHAT, OF aNY WORtH ever CAME OUT OF BOSTON?

No way. After the All-Star break the Yankees are going to catch fire. Clemens will be pitching for them a few times and will be on a roll.

The rotaion will be:
1. Wang
2. Clemens
3. Mussina
4. Pettiet
5. Huges

And they have an All-Star batting line-up that will start clicking.
THE YANKEES WILL BE FINE

Who did hank aaron hit his last homerun off of ?

Yeah, because the season is so short. It is still way early pull your head out of your

Who was the first Canadian ever to play major league baseball?

Hopefully.

Why isn't Miguel Tejada playin well?

Eric T pretty much summed it up. They are just biding their time, building their chemistry and coming together as a team. Once they start firing on all cylinders, look out!

Why is Chien-Ming Wang falling apart?

I honestly think that they are way too talented not to at least make the playoffs. However I don't see them winning a championship yet again this season as their pitiching is a mess from the starting rotation to the bullpen.

Which pitcher has the filthiest pitch?

Yes.

The red sox will surely win the East, and Cleveland will take the wild card.

To be honest, i hope they do make the playoffs. I'd love to see the Tigers smoke em again.

When did the MLB ny giants leave New York?

unfortunately no. if you will all remember about two years ago when they started out bad and still made the playoffs with ease. it looks too be a repeat of that but then again they didn't have that bad of a pitching staff like they do now. and oh yeah the season is 162 games long. longer than any other sport in the world if i am thinking correctly. and even if they do have a wonderful starting pitching staff after the all-star break they still have that "wonderful" relief staff. even Mariano can't help them there.

What's the detailed connections and difference between softball and baseball?

Its only the middle of May there is still a lot of time left. But come on Yankee fans, enough of the "spot the Red Sox a lead" talk. Anyone including Joe Torre would much rather be 8 up in May than 8 back.

Great lineup will be fine.

The pitching staff has a lot of questions:

Clemens - how will he hold up at 45 with a history of bad hamstrings in the American League?

Wang - "One-Hit-Wonder" or the real deal? I'd be leery - he won 19 games but struck out only 76 last year. His whip was an average 1.31.

Mussina - also just coming back but he hasn't looked sharp yet. He needs to step up.

Pettitte - has looked good so far and needs to keep it up. He had a 4.20 ERA in the anemic NL last year. Adjusting for the AL brings it close to 5.00

Hughes - everyone I read is posting him right into the rotation. I know he's a blue-chipper but can we really rely on a prospect to contribute? Anything he gives should be gravy, but not counted on. And to even mention Pavano at this point is a joke.

I won't get into the bullpen with Rivera, Proctor, and Farnsworth all being less than dominant.

Can you count the Yankees out? Absolutely not! But like Joe said, I'd rather be 8 up than 8 back...

Will a player ever steal 100 bases in a season again?

You make a point, but a powerful lineup cannot overcome poor pitching. That is why the Yankees are where they are today. Their lineup has not failed them. They are scoring runs, but their pitchers are giving up more. Can they still make the playoffs?? Yes, because the season is still young. I wouldn't count them out yet.
