Do you think it's time that fans should vote in pitchers for the All Star game too? Explain.?
Question:Why not make it complete by voting for them too?
Answers:
How would the Yankees do without Alex Rodriguez?
I think it would be nice if the fans could but because of the nature of the game and of the balloting/voting for the players it is hard to predict which players will be having a great year. Also, I think this is a test of the managerial strategy of the All Star Game. What do you think about getting rid of the minor league system in baseball?
You are absolutely right! Pitchers are players too! Why not vote for them! Can somebody list all the pitches that pitchers use in baseball?
No. Depending upon the pitchers day off and injuries most wouldn't play anyway. Leave it to the managers.Bigger headcase: brad lidge or phil mickelson?
as long as they have at least 7 starts by the all-star break, Example I wouldn't want to see clemens voted in just for who he is this year with 1 startHow do you tell if an Anderson bat is "dead"?
i agree! I still do not like the voting! Ballot stuffing goes on far to much! I remember watching a Rangers game last yr I beleive and they were playing the CHISOX and the camera panned to a press box, where two women, in CHISOX personel uniforms had a dozen stacks of ballots punching them in...I really thought that was illegal but who knows? I like the idea of atleast one player from each team, but then again sometimes some BS guy from the Royals for instance gets in with +5.00 era. That helps in the case of places like NY that draw a bigger fan base that have more opportunity to pick those players! SOme deserving other not so much!In baseball, why do they call them innings?
I agree, but only one from each position :Starting Pitcher and a closer. The others should be selected by a committee of players and coaches. Because Starting Pitcher and a Closer will be the favorite. But Other Pitchers there will be about 9 pitchers so just the important ones.
The problem is a lot of players get in to the all star game due to past reputations and past fantastic seasons. Nothing would be more true than for pitchers. There needs to be a percentage of 60% coaches and 40% fans voting. That way the season at hand would be focused on more than past seasons. So the answer is No.
Anyone know at what Hotel in For Lauderdale the Phillies stay when they play the Marlins?
Look - the all star game is screwed up enough with David Oritz being voted on as a first baseman - even though he is a DH. Half the players the fans vote in do not deserve to play, let alone start. So I say either take away the voters rights - or make it not count for anything since it is a lame game anyway.Who was the last player to hit for the HR cycle?
Because the fans have proven year after year that it is a favoritism vote by not electing the most deserving players that particular year.no! i am very much against the fans vote. if the all-star game is going to have any importance in real games like the world series then they should put the players who deserve to go and deserve to start to play.
Instead of having the fans vote for the pitchers; the players should vote for them.
Who's pissed at Roger Clemens?
No, because pitchers are much more prone to injury and need more rest than other players. How many rows in section 155 at minute maid park?
I think fans should be able to vote for 1,2, maybe even 3 pithers to be in the all-star game. If not that , you could exchange a few of those votes that are used for position players on pitchers.Does anyone think the New York Yankees are already done?
