Yes,I think they can.They have a great starting staff,the bullpen has looked sharp so far.They are in first place and they aren't even hitting yet.If they keep winning at the pace they are they will win it.In the MLB currently, who are the top 3 teams with the best bullpen and the botttom 3 worst?
Well contrary to popular belief the central is not a strong division so they definitely have a chance and will most likely win the Central. I dont think anyone in the A.L can hang with the Sox though for the ALCS.Do you think the Red Sox will win?

I'd say 1 in 4.Ballzy...the Central isn't strong? What are you basing that on...the 4 teams over .500? All teams other than the Royals have winning records vs. the other divisions. If the central isn't strong, I'd hate to think what the east and west are.
Well I think they have the best offense in the division, and the pitching isn't that bad either. It definitly won't be easy because Minnesota, Detroit, and Chicago are all playoff caliber teams as well.
I think it will come down to which team can stay healthy. Right now I think they are the healthiest of the teams, so that will definitly help them out.
I'd give them about a 30% chance of winning the division, 40% chance of making the playoffs.
They might be able to win the AL pennant, but I don't like their chances in the World Series if they get their. Hafner will either no be able to play in a few of the games, or he will be playing 1st base, and I'm not sure which would hurt them more.
No matter what they will be fun to watch this year.

1. A tough month---horrid weather,inconsistent schedule,home games played in other city.1st place anyhow
2. 6-2 vs the Twins and Chicago
3. 7-1 in series played
4. Indians are playing average baseball and in 1st place
5. Indians are not hitting a lick and in 1st place
6. Fausto Carmona who dominates Twins and O's for 16 innings allows 3 runs combined and beats Johan Santana isn't good enough to be Indians #5 with Cliff Lee back.That's depth
7. Oh did I mention...15-17 wins per year Cliff Lee is back,and added a new pitch
8. Indians bullpen thus far has been revamped and outstanding
9. The bench is one of MLB strongest
10. Wait until Sizemore,Peralta,Barfield heat up at the dish
11. This team is only going to get better as the year goes on.
This being said--I like Cleveland and Twins to battle it out for the Central. Central has represented the A.L. in World Series last 2 years...streak continues with Twins or Indians. 14-8 in a harsh poor playing month for Cleveland shows me they can run away with this thing. Don't expect Indians to back down from Boston or anyone else.
Oh and some poster said something about Hafner at 1st? He can play 1st...Garko (mean bat) Dh's as well.
