Does anyone know where I could get a pair of cheap umpire pants online?

There is one site. You can also search for Honigs, or just an internet search for umpire gear. Pants come up for auction on e-bay all the time.

I use the "Flying Cross", and "Flechmier" brands myself for baseball and softball (fastpitch).

If you are gonna work slowpitch, check out Wal-Mart. They always have a selection of heather gray (or navy blue) slacks for around 20 bucks. Those will work fine, but they may be a bit tight over shin gaurds.

One of the guys I work with found a pair at GoodWill for $2.00!
