Grand Slam by 4th Batter of a Game?
Question:How many times has the 4th batter of a baseball game hit a grand slam? The first three batters would have to reach base safely (and not score) and then the clean-up hitter hits a home run...
Vlad Guerrero did it on May 1st, but I couldn't think of another case.

Carlos lee did it a couple weeks ago for the houston astros.....Casey Kotchman also did it earlier this week. It has happened a ton in the history of the game. I couldn't even venture an accurate guess!

i am not sure of the date but in game 1 of the 2003 N.L. championship against the Marlins Aramis Ramirez(4th batter) hit a grand slam after 3 walks scoreboard after 1st 4-0 with only 1 hit! What is the average weight of a mlb pitcher who is 5'11 or 6'0?
The guy who said Aramis Ramirez did it is wrong. I couldn't wait until I went home to find my scoresheets of the game, but I eventually found what I wanted on ESPN.com and is linked below. It was Game 5 of the 2003 NLCS and, yes Ramirez did hit a grand slam in the first inning, he was batting fifth and Mark Grudzielanek (hitting second) struck out swining. But Lofton, Sosa (how rare is that?), and Alou all walked only to be followed by Rami.
Anyway, to um answer the question ----- I have no idea.
What 5 MLB players would baseball be better off without?
From 1901 to 2005 there have been a total of 5400 Grand Slams, the most of which coming in 2000 with 176 and the least in 1907 with 3. Only 12 players in baseball history have hit 2 in 1 game. Robin Ventura is the only player to hit his only two at the very end of each game in a double header (two games, same day). Bill Mueller is the only player to hit his only two in the same game, but each from different sides of the plate.More Questions & Answers...
