Here's the facts:Brian Cashman is the biggest joke of a GM in baseball. Hand any other GM the money he has been given to throw around and you'd see results. JP Riccrdi,Kenny Williams,Mark Shapiro--very good GM's that would light it up with NYY payroll. Cashman thought Bobby Abreu would be more important then acquiring pitching. Jaret Wright pitched in the postseason for NYY last year---after that debacle wouldn't the lightbulb go off "Hey,maybe we need pitching".They are toast now-and don't blame Torre-only that idiot Steinbrenner would blame him--Torre manages the crap he was given to work with. It's a beautiful thing actually that D-Rays are looking down on NYY...you Yanks fans may think it's only April-but is May looking any brighter? You can lose a postseason slot in April...ask the 2005 Indians who won 90 games but sucked in April. One game short...however don't look for NYY to win 90...possibly lose 90. It will only get worst.Nobody is going to trade NYY pitching either--NYY have zero to offer any team for pitching. Blame Cashman and that senile dictator of an owner for keeping Brian Cashman employed...that;s your answer.

The Yankees are doing bad right now but it's only the end of April. They did this 2 years ago and they made it to the playoffs on the last game of the season. They just have to improve their pitching. They will probably get back on track when Mike Mussina comes back because he is a good pitcher.More Questions & Answers...
