What is the greatest pitching rotation of all time?

Question:

Answers:

How much money did Roger Clemens get from the yankees? thanks?

I'm going to have to go pretty recent and say the Braves staff through most of th 90's. Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, and Tom Glavine all won Cy Young Awards. Throw in Kevin Milwood, and Denny Neagle and I say they were the Greatest rotation of all time.

To add on to those saying the O's had 4 20 game winners they are correct, but so did the Braves
The 3 above plus Denny Neagle
I want to say this was in 98 but am not 100% sure of the year.

Which mlb player is your favorite pitcher?

The 1970 O's outdid themselves by posting four 20-game winners in '71. Pat Dobson joined McNally, Cuellar, and Palmer as the Birds went on to win 101 games. Again an ALCS sweep, over Oakland this time, put the Orioles into the World Series for the 3rd straight year.

Can MLB teams trade managers?

The braves in the 90's.there was a span of 8 years where a brave won it every year except 1.smoltz,glavine, and maddux..the 4th and 5th pitcher could be anyone...

What is the maximum amount of players baseball teams can have?

From 1969 - 1971 The Baltimore Orioles starting rotation had 9 20 game winners, including 4 in 1971 alone (Jim Palmer, Mike Cuellar, Pat Dobson and Dave McNally). The team won 3 straight AL East pennants. The made 2 World Series appearances, including the 1970 world championship.

In the 1971 rotation, back when teams had only 4 man rotations because men were men and could pitch on 3 days rest, the big 4 started 142 of the teams games. No one had an ERA higher than 3.09 and none of them lost more than 9 games.

The only time in baseball history there have been 4 twenty game winners on one staff makes this an easy answer.

1971 Baltimore Orioles.

Rare baseball event?

Dodgers of the mid 60's (Koufax, Drysdale). Orioles of the early 70's (Palmer, McNally, Cuellar). Braves of the 90's (Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz). Any of those three. All won multiple pennants and at least one World Series.

Does anyone know where I can find the video of Glenallen Hills rooftop home run?

I'm not going to hold forth that the 1920 Chicago White Sox had the greatest pitching staff ever, but more people should know that the '71 Orioles do NOT have an exclusive franchise on having four 20-game winners.

Faber 23-13
Williams 22-14
Cicotte 21-10
Kerr 21-9

Cicotte and Williams were told to get outta Dodge after that season due to their involvement in some unpleasantness in October 1919.
