What team played in the Polo Grounds ?
All of these attributes are needed to make a player great!!However the most important for an every day player is speed. Speed causes good things to happen on the basepath, it makes a player able to run down a fly ball quicker.
Most important for a pitcher is control, if he has all of the power in the world, or all of the movement in the world it doesn't matter when he can't get it across the plate.

good work ethic and patience to spend lot of hours alone. How about excellent hand-eye coordination?
Most great players already have all the skills they need to be "good" major league players. I think those who attain "greatness" have that something extra in them, whether its a constant need to improve their game, an absolute love for the sport, staying competitive, or a combination of the 3. Take Tony Gwynn. He was "blessed" with a very good hitting stroke, but he worked on it constantly for his whole career. He never just let his ability carry him through a season. He spent hours looking at video of himself, trying to perfect his swing, timing, stance, etc. Its that type of desire to be "great" that separates those "good" players from the best.
Besides all of the physical stuff, I'm going to say Confidence! Because, I've learned from experience, without confidence, you can't do anything. when you go up to bat, if you don't think you can do it, you won't get a hit. If you don't think you can field or make a throw, you won't be able to. Everything happens because of confidence. You've just gotta have it!
The five tools for position players are hitting for power, hitting for average, speed, picking the ball and throwing the ball.
Pitchers need endurance, as well as both control and command of all of their pitches.
That's what you were looking for in your question.
But the additional attributes that is most needed is coachability. I know it's not a word, but it is a concept and one that is absolutely necessary, in baseball as in life. If you cannot take instruction, and in particular if you cannot take that instruction and build on it, if you can't build on your experiences, and if particular if you can't learn from your mistakes, you'll go nowhere no matter the endeavour.
