I think that he can. Although he is a switch hitter and hits more homeruns from the left side, I think he has the ability and athleticism to make it to that envied HR number 756. Hitting 20+ Home Runs since his second year with Houston, he already has an amazing 230 Home Runs already, and only being 31 years old. I still don't think that he is at his best yet, I believe that he will get better each year. Being in a division with not many great pitchers, I think that Lance will have many opportunities to break the record. When you think of the NL Central, you really only think of the power hitters (Pujols, Berkman, Lee, Bay, C. Lee, A. Ramirez) not pitching. The good pitchers have been plagued by injuries. (Prior and Wood) I believe that if Lance Berkman breaks the record, which I think he will, he will do it in about 8 or 9 years.Will Randy Johnson be ever be the "dominating" pitcher he used to be?
