After spending 9 seasons in Milwaukee, primarily as a catcher, he went to Baltimore for 4.5 years. Was traded to Atlanta at the deadline. Spent 2.5 seasons there, the 2002 season primarily as a reserve. He left as a free agent after the 2002 season and signed with Baltimore. He retired after hitting only .257 in 2005.
