What do you think?
Question:Much is being said about the Yankees woes and their being in last place as of April 25th. Do you think this will last? Do you think they will panic? What's your take on it.
I'm also interested to see how many idiotic "Yankees Suck" replies I get to this question.

Who do you think will start for the all star game this year in SF? (not including pitchers)?
I would have said they should not yet be in full Panic mode, however, calling up Phillip Hughes is definetly the sign of PANIC! While the hitting has been good (borderline great, lately)-How many games have they blown the lead in? Pettite pitched great in Boston, and the pen blew it, Wright was going o.k. until...well, you know. And Wang looked real good last night after such a layoff and Freddy Kreuger (oops, I mean Mike Myers) well, again, you know.I know it is only April 25th, and nobody should be panicing just yet, but I got a baaaad feeling about this. We need pitching. $185 mil, and where oh where is the pitching. All of the "well the lineup is so good they will outslug other teams" theory is a load of crap (yeah, Joe Morgan, I said it). The pitching is outslugging the offense so far. It can't last though? Right? Please, right?
Oh know, I think I'm panicing, anybody have a paper bag. I can't breath. I have to go lay down now.
Go Yanks!
Once the A's get all their starters back, they will become a World Series contender?
They HAVE to get better. Their problem is that so many of their pitchers are hurt. As they mend, the Yankees are bound to rebound. They have the most awesome and feared lineup in the Major Leagues!! Look for drastic improvement very soon.Chow!!
I have 13 players with ADHD on my team. How can I tame them?
The thing is they are waiting on pitching to become healthy but the fact of the matter is you are banking on an upper 30's mussina and an always injured carl pavano. They need to go out and make a move (which probably wont happen until the allstar break unless someone hits the panic button) but when you score 8 runs and still lose to the devil rays (not knocking the rays they are a good young team) but you have a red hot a-rod an always solid jeter a 9 digit salary middle lineup and your long time closer is blowing saves your starting pitching is giving up more than a run an inning if the panic button hasnt been pressed yet the cover is up on it for quick access.Once their pitching improves (or returns from the DL), they will leave the nether regions of the AL East. Batting-wise they have too much talent, but they will need some consistent outings from their starters. But even if they give up 7 runs per game, they technically have a chance to win every game with their bats. No need to panic, they'll probably end up winning 100 games again, as always...
Is Bartolo Colon a good pick up? And Please give me projected stats.?
Well I think they might not finish in last. But when October comes they will falter and they will all hate A-ROD.Go Red Sox.
Is there any website that i can find the value of my baseball cards?
Right now the Yankees only problem is their pitching and George. The Yankees pitching has been diminishing over the past few years. And it starts with the picthing coach Don Zimmer leaving. Andy Petite and Roger Clemens left at the same time, and the only strong pitcher they had is Mussina. He hasn't won 20 games or a world series since leaving Baltimore. And then theres Randy Johnson, 40 year old, they actually thought he was going to come to New York and be the hero? Come on washed up. Hall of famer but washed up. To be positive yes, they have a young core of pitchers coming up but remember you are in the AL East. And it definatly doesn't help when your owner critizes the team when they lose focus. There is always drama in the Yankee house and its starts with George. Don't be surprised if Torre leaves soon but I think he definaley wants another title. They will finsh one or two in the East. A-Rod will be mvp. Yankees SUCK!What is the minor league baseball team with the logo with the glaring eyes?
I am amazed that a team that spends as much as they do never go and sign a few 15 game winners in their mid to late 20's. They keep going after these guys in the final stretch of their career to hit the bump every 5th day. Time to forget the Johnson's, Mussina's, and Pettitte's, and get some Zambrano and Buerhle type pitchers. What is the Atlanta Braves Stadium called?
I don't think it will last. It's only April and many of the best teams go on a slow start. It will take a while but they'll get back to the top in mid to late May. They've done this many times and still made it to the playoffs. What is the worst trade of all-time besides Babe Ruth to the Yankees?
Note to Jason....Don Zimmer was never the Yankees Pitching Coach. You should have your facts right before providing answers.Has there ever been 4 back to back homers in mlb history?
I understand quite a few pitichers are on the DL for the Yankees, but really, I would say Wang is the biggest hit as far as injuries go. The Yankees have two aging pitchers in Mussina and Pettite, one injury prone pitcher in Pavano, and one "deer in the headlights" pitcher who's name I do not know, he is the one from Japan. Even though they may all come back from the DL, I honestly don't think they will be that great. This team has the most powerful lineup in the league, but that can only get you so far. Management needs to realize that they need to create a "team" not a bunch of individual all-stars who care only for the batting average. They should be spending this money on young quality pitchers. The Red Sox for years went with the hitting mentality and picking up high price free agents hitters, and depleting their farm system with trades, and never won a thing. Now they switched that thinking up and went with pitching first, defense second, and hitting last with OBP being a top priority over slugging. They also started to get their minor leagues system stocked with young talented players and things are looking much better. The Yanks are starting to stack their farm system and go with that mentality, which bodes well for their future. What would happen if barry bonds hit like 50 homers this year? Would people respect him then?
They're fine. They'll finish 1st. Let the other fans have their glory days, until the All - Star break, when the Yankees r making surge towards 1st place, and will be there by July.I like kris d's answer.
Panic, no not yet, I have to constantly remind myself that they did start off to a 10-19 record just 2 years ago, under Mel. Out of the gate slow and then the momentum will pick up. George himself is always excitable, but I don't forsee heads rolling. They really do have too many good people on the team to finish poorly, once the pitching is full strength again and start making some moves in the bullpen, the season will begin to even out. So, remaining optimistic, as always, I think that things will be alright
