The Mets are sound right now. They have the #1 era in baseball with a top five hitting lineup. Tough to beat.i would have to say it is the Brewers in the NL and Red Sox in the AL

I would look at it from an expected wins standpoint [RS^1.82/((RS^1.82)+(RA^1.82)) ], a method that takes the combination of offense and runs allowed (pitching + defense) into account.
Also, it is important to see if teams are playing at or close (+/- 1 game this early in the season) their predicted level which would indicate that they are not the beneficiaries of a weak schedule or random luck (or lack thereof!).
Based on this analysis, the Red Sox (26-12) and Mets (24-14) are playing the best overall baseball.
