Wilbur wood vs. Tim Wakefield- better knuckleballer?

good for you about standing up to your coach, if your the coaches' kid then usually u get trated worse then the team, theyt dont want to show favoritsm to their kids. i was in a similar situation, i would maybe try and talk to him at home and ask why you got benched and if that doesnt work then try to get switched to another team that a friend plays on or something.
best of luck

To yankee haters.?

Well i play softball to and i know where ur coming from so i would say that u should stay on the team and ask the coach why ur on the bench I'm a pitcher to and it helps to take a break once and a while ur dad could be in complete shock still so i would wait a day or so till you ask him

Why can't white sox fans just worry about the sox and stop caring so much about how the cubs supposly suck?

First of all, softball is a team sport, and you may be the best pitcher on the team. He wants to field the best team and if you don't want to pitch he has no other place to put you. You have to understand he is giving a lot of his time to coach the team, he's not getting paid, it's volunteer work and it is work. Don't be so hard on him he is just trying to do what he thinks is best for you and the team. Coaches decide were to put players not the players. That even happens in professional baseball, so do your part. Good luck

What 3 active MLB players have hit at least 60 homeruns for 3 different teams?

why didnt you not want to pitch? were you tired? hurt? if you were, you should tell him that you were. If you were just doing that cuz you were bored and wanted another position to play, your dad, being the coach, has every right to bench you. the fact that you told him that right before taking the field, that is challenging the coach's authority. if you wanted to play other positions, you should approach him during practice. think about it, the coach is the one who manages the team. imagine if two other players also refused to play their positions that they were assigned before that game. Your dad would have to think of ways of moving 3 or more people around to accomidate their wishes. I am sure that as coach, your dad is trying to put the best team out there with the stongest players playing in their best positions.

if you love the game, you should keep playing and approach him. I think if you can swallow your pride and apoligize you will find yourself on the field soon, but i'm pretty sure that your dad is not going to keep you on the bench for the whole season even if you do not apoligize.

i learned this lesson when i played middle school soccer. the coach had me playing foward and a bunch of other guys in mid and defense. the other guys wanted to play foward. i agreed to let them play there if they could get the coach to let us play were we wanted. when they appoached the coach, he seemed a bit frustrated but he accomidated them. they moved up to foward, i was moved to mid-field. we played like crap in that game. i realized that the coach was trying to make the best decisions for the team and put the people he believes were the best for certain positions in those positions. from that point on, i trusted the coaches and listen to them both in varsity baseball and soccer. in baseball, i was a catcher, there were so many times i'd rather be snagging fly balls in the outfield than being stuck catching BP sessions or fielding "behind the plate" batting practice, but i had to realize my position was being the catcher and that's where i had to practice and let the other people on the team practice where they r supposed to practice. i cant ask to be allowed to play left field one day, third base the next, the catcher when i feel like it. i approach it by playing where-ever the team needs me to play and the best person who decides who should play where is the coach.

Retired numbers besides 42 in mlb all teams??

Well it's great that you stood up to your dad @ your next practice go a lil early and get some1 else to play around with you. Get @ the position you want to play so he sees you are dedicated and deserve that spot. Don't let a lil mishap get in the way of a dream. Plus softball is 2 great of a sport to quit!
