This might help you with teaching about pitching and the different pitches. I think it's informative. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/pitch_%28ba...Does anyone know why the Red Sox were wearing Green and White on Fri. night's game w/ the Yanks?!?
Work on basic footwork (step and throw in a straight line) then have him go through the throwing motion of a baseball only with out a ball. Once it looks like he is ready give him a baseball and let him go to work. The biggest step is patience and giving encouragement. Well, I have played softball, taught a couple of girls in my school. Its really difficult to explain But here it goes.First, Make sure to teach him the proper feet position. step into the throw while his is throwing.
Secondly, Make sure that he is throwing the ball correctly as in reaching back then stepping towards the throw.
**In Dominican Republic, they made some of the kids throw with a bigger ball if they did not have good aim, And when they got better they had them throw with a baseball.***
Lasty, Remind him to follow through with the pitch.
I hope this helps.
