Will Cole Hamels win the NL Cy Young?
Question:I think Hamels is one of the best young pitchers in the game and he has the stuff to be a real ace for the Phillies. Think he can make a legit run at the NL Cy Young?
Answers:
I pitch about 5 curveballs per day. I am eleven, will this affect my arm?
Maybe not this year but in the next few years he should be ready for it.Has barry bonds ever admitted to taking steroids?
No, Jake Peavey will. 10+ K's in four straight games.I guarantee at some point in Hamels' long career to come, he will win at least 1 Cy Young. He has tremendous stuff and has a lot of endurance. I got proof of this endurance: On MLB All-Access, they showed film of one his no-hitters in high school on TWO days rest, 2!! And that's in high school when is arm is not completely ready for high-stakes pitching. Of course he didn't pitch for another 5 days, but that is still incredible. I say he finishes his career with 2, especially if Rollins, Howard, and Utley stay with Philly for a good half of his career and give him run support.
However, not this year. I think it's going to be either Jake Peavy, Tim Hudson, or Brad Penny (longshot). Peavy and Hudson are both off to tremendous starts and they have been unhittable. Penny has had only 2 really good starts but I think there will be plenty to more come, he is really just an instinct.
I'll make a prediction right here:
Your 2010 NL Cy Young Winner will be Cole Hamels
2006: I'm gonna go with Peavy.
My wife wants me to get a jj hardy rookie card for her, where do i get one?
Cole Hamels winning the Cy Young award is going to depend heavily on the Phil's ability to contend for the WildCard, if not the East crown. He is now 6-1 after throwing a gem tonight against the Brewers (8 innings, 2 hits, 2 ER, 11K 10 of them swinging). If the Phillies contend and he continues his early season performance, then Cole has a real shot at this year's award. His change is nasty.No.
