Randy Johnson of the Arizona Diamondbacks?
Question:Do you think that Randy Johnson will get 300 wins and 5000 strikeouts in his last two years? Also do you think he will pass Roger Clemens on Strikeouts? Randy has said that after his two year contract is over he will retire. I think he has a good chance of getting 300 wins and a decent chance of getting 5000 strikeouts, and I hope he passes Roger Clemens on strikouts.
Answers:
As for the 5000 k's he will come very close. He has 4,581 to date and has been averaging a little under 190 k's the past two seasons.
If Randy doesn't have any more health issues before the season is over and finishes healthy and gets plenty of rest in the off season, I'm sure he will go for the 5,000 k's in 2008.
Will he get them? That remains to be seen.
I don't know about the strikeouts, and passing Clemens largely depends on Clemens eventually, actually, retiring. Ah, let 'em have their fun.
I cannot imagine Unit will walk off the mound without victory #300 under his belt. It carries a lure like few other numbers in baseball; if he's one, two, even five short, if some team will give him the chance, he'll be out there, grinding away (including on his knees) to get there.
How come in chicago, they only show HOME Cub games in Hi Def?
I don't think that Randy Johnson will make both mark because of his recent history. Granted, he's better than a lot of pitchers out there. Having said that, he's not as dominant as he once was and having back issues does not help matters either.Just my opinion
In the sport of baseball, where did the term Bullpen come from and why is it used?
He defiantly will get wins unless something unfortunate happens but I don't think he will get 5000 k's in his this year and next[if that what you meant] Since he isn't going to get 200+ k's in two straight years and I don't know if he can this year so that is a no. Also if this is Clemens last year he should but if Roger keeps coming back and doing good I am not sure he will.More Questions & Answers...
