Who's the early season #1 contenders & pretenders?
Well the Sox are no longer broadcast on WEEI. They are now broadcast on WRKO, another Entercom owned station. Trupiano's contract was up at the end of the season and when the broadcast rights went to WRKO, they just wanted to go in a different direction with the broadcasters. So Joe was kept, and Jerry was not.Has anyone seen Fidel Castro play baseball?
I think WAY BACK when they wrote his contract it was set to expire last season and he did not get renewed. Castiglione is still on, however. Can the Giants trade Barry Zito to the Yankees for Alex Rodriguez?
They weren't crazy about his way of calling games- the feeling I heard was that he was too unenthusiastic and that the Red Sox Ownership didn't feel he was appealing enough to the younger demographic and non-Red Sox market that their business plan calls on them to tap into.Truth-be-told, I liked the Joe and Jerry team-up a great deal, and was none to happy when It was confirmed last year that he wasn't coming back.
I heard the new guy the other day and I wasn't all that impressed- thankfully though he's not one of those over-the-top obnoxious types like an ESPN or FOX would put on.
