everytime I click on http://www.ballparkdigest.com - the ballpark situation in South Florida is not good fortune for the Marlins. If they're not careful - they'll end up like the Expos...seized by MLB and moved to some ungodly location out East.
Personally - i think the problem stems in the Marlins expansion back in 1993. MLB should never have put a team there - they've struggled at the gate for years, at a dome-less Metrodome - built for football, not baseball - and they've struggled despite having two World Championships.
It's interesting how the Marlins situation closely resembles the Twins. Two World Championships within 5 years, haven't done exceptionally well at the gate, very low payroll, very bad stadium - and with those elements, it took the Twins 10 years to get financing for a new park.
You could say "hang in there" - but I don't think the Marlins are getting a new park anytime soon.
