I hope so. I always root for my fellow Washingtonians.He went to the same high school that my Mom taught at for 35 years (Cascade H.S. in Everett, WA). His first year there was Mom's last. The only other celebrity this big to attend Cascade was Patrick Duffy, the actor.
I think Grady Sizemore (the correct spelling of his name) will be a great player for a long time, but not the greatest.

of all time? no.but i do think he has serious potential. he is a great player, and when he breaks out, he's on fire. i know he has potential to be remembered as one of the greats of this decade, but we'll have to wait and see how he does.

He needs to cut down on his strike outs, and hit a bit better against LHPs.
I know I enjoyed seeing him come up thru the minors, and plan on enjoying him for many years in the bigs (hopefully all w/ the Indians).

He can be. Sizemore is still young and he is a very good player.NO, Grady Sizemore is the most overrated player outside of Dice-K right now. He is really, really good but he isn't in the same league as guys like Carl Crawford or Andrew Jones.

Obviosuly a few people in here have never watched Grady Sizemore on a consistent basis. I do. Every game. Here are his flaws and strengths:Grady's Flaws:
1. Has a kamikaze approach in the field-risks severe injury on some of the crazy dives he makes
2. Overly aggressive at the plate-this brings on alot of strikeouts.
That's it for flaws...not bad huh?
Grady's Strengths:
1. Guy is clutch with the bat-cool character under pressure
2. Speed...speed...speed. Only Crawford may be faster in the American League.
3. Walks alot...which is weird because he K's alot too
4. Can bunt perfectly
5. Is a Gold Glove Center Fielder without a doubt--he will win his share
6. Has power---can hit 30+ Hr a year
7. Will hit .300 consistently every year (even with this slump he is in).
8. Reads the ball of the bat in the field brilliantly
9. Can double,triple off an ordinary basehit--again--SPEED
10. Works hard and runs out every play...the kid is intense
So those who call him overrated or not that good should be knitting a quilt instead of watching baseball. His stregths outweigh his flaws. The kid IS YOUNG YET TOO. I take Sizemore over alot of A.L. All Stars right now--Ichiro,Jeter,Ordonez,Shef... don't care what positions they play...this kid will be the best player in the American League within 1-11/2 years. As Guillen of Chcago said "Grady is the best player in the American League right now" Ozzie Guillen went on to call him Superman...maybe he isn't--but chances are--he's either better then your favorite teams CF--or he's well on his way. Take that bet...
Why do baseball umpires make calls in that grunting voice?
