I dont know who Jeff Marcella is, but the Yankee Minor League teams have NOT been in NY. Until this year, the Yankke AAA team was in Columbus, OH. Thsi yr it's in Scranton/Wilkes Barre PA. The AA team is in Trenton, NJ.
