It's hard to argue against Rollie Fingers.

Relief pitching, and in particular, closing was a very different type of job when Fingers was dominant. So it's not his number of saves that should be looked at, but his innings/appearance, etc. That Shakespearean quote about roses simply doesn't apply to closers then and closers now.
