Don't get behind the plate until you knee has healed. By continuing to crouch, you're continuing to aggravate the problem, and it simply won't heal. Play another position for a while, or DH.Last night's game? (Seattle?)?
take some time off or get knee savers, they do save my knees when i catchi had the same problem a couple months ago, and turned out my shin guard where too small
i had the whole knee savers thing (which are a major life saver) but my knees still hurt during and after. so i asked my doctor what i shold do and he said try going up a size in shin guards, and that help TONS!
so the moral of the story here is get larger shin guards

You need to watch tapes of Manny Sanguillen catching in the early seventies. He had a modified crouch where he extended one leg out to the side. This allowed him to be very flexible and quick behind the plate and lessened the strain on his knees.Who would you rather have for your fantasy baseball team? Raúl Ibañez or Nick Markakis.?
