Should I call the softball coach?
Question:See my ex's new gf wants to be on the team and I'm the pitcher. I wanna convince the coach not to let her on the team, she can't do anything, i'm a more important player, and i hate her guts. If the coach was aware, do you think she'd choose me over her?

If you are an asset to the team, and having her would affect your playing then you need to say something. I think you shouldn't bad mouth potential teammates to your coach. You only hate this girl because she is dating your ex. Do you really want to give your coach an ultimatum like that, knowing that he may just choose this girl over you? She will try out like everyone else, and get on the team based upon her abilities as a player just like everyone else. This is what I do, when you are trying out for the starting position use your anger to your advantage, basically use this to play so hard the coach knows you are the better player. If you are both on the field as teamates, just remember, a team is a family, you never get along with everyone in your family but they are infacy, YOUR FAMILY. So when it comes to playing on the field, dont show off to her just play ur best and treat her fairly, and off the field you can still hate her guts cuz u r only family on the field, lol hope this helpsThis really depends on whether or not you two can work this out. You shouldn't hate her guts, jsut because she's dating your ex. You dated him, too. Being on a softball team is not neccesarily what you can and cannot do. Maybe your'e better than her but maybe she's in it for the experience, or so that she can get better. If worse comes to worse, yo utwo can jsut completely ignore eachother. thats silly if you truly are better you won't call him and you would prove you are a better player by pitching good. Besides coaches make decisions based upon the teams needs not individuals thats why its a team sport. besides if she does play maybe your ex will see you play amazingly good and regret that he has a new gfRIP... I say call your coach. However, I wouldn't go with "I'm the more important player". I'd simply tell your coach that this girl wants to play on your team, but that you wanted to let the coach know that there is some 'history' between you and this girl. Now, if this girl cheated on you with your ex, then ya, that's a reason to hate this chick... but if you simply hate her b/c she's dating your ex, then you need to grow-up.if you call the coach and create drama, YOU might get kicked off the team....that happened to someone I know
she was badmouthing other girls on her basketball team and creating drama and always acting like she was better than everyone else the coach got tired of it and kicked her off the team
be mature about the situation, if you feel you may not play as well if she is on the team, calmly explain the situation to your coach but don't make any demands the coach will be sure to respect your honesty and maturity

I wouldn't do it. If she truly is a horrible player, the coach will see it for herself. If she's that bad, that might work to your advantage anyway, giving you opportunity to clean up her messes and make you look good. I also wouldn't call because, just because you don't like her doesn't mean the rest of the team doesn't/won't.
