Absolutely! That's why the season is 162 games. The Yankees have no problem scoring runs so once they get their pitching straighten out the Red Sox we be challenged.

The Yanks still have a chance, but its not a very good one. They're hitting is about the only thing keeping them alive right now. With people getting injured andd put on the DL left and right, they're being physically and mentally worn down. Criticism is being put onto joe torre because of wearing his bullpen down too fast but the blame should be put on the starting pitching. Very few starters have made it past 5 innings. With the Rocket coming back, we will have to see how the rest of the season unfolds.

Keep in mind, the Yankees have decimated their farm system in making some big trades over the last several years. The result of this has been devastating.no bullpen. anyone who said that the yankees will win the pennant, is VERY MUCH MISTAKEN!! the red sox are obviously the best team in the AL East and with the way Manny and Big Papi hitting the ball nothing is going to change. I would also like to add that the red sox have some relief pitchers in there bullpen, while the yankees only rely on Mariono Rivera, who has not perfomed this whole season.
