The Braves and Mets are doing pretty well right now, and they aren't even considered the teams to beat in the National League. I really don't see the depth in the Diamondbacks lineup or bullpen, so I'm not expecting them to make it to the playoffs or anything beyond that.

Not any time soon !Not now. Maybe in a few years, but right now they are destined to finish in the cellar of the NL West. The Dodgers and Padres dominate that division, and with the Rockies finally starting to turn into a real team, the D-Backs wont have a shot at a championship for a while. They need to groom their farm system, make some good players into great players, and then in a couple years they can make a shot at the World Series.

nope. not for a few years anyway. they actually need randy johnson to retire and get a few new young arms in there. they also need to find some more offense. brandon webb is nasty and will be a great pitcher for many years to come, and they may make playoffs sometime down the road but if the mets and braves have the same caliber team that they do right now, the dbacks have no chance for a long time.How is the Mexican league and the venezualen league affilliated with major league baseball?
Sorry, but no. Right now, they have lots of young talent on their team. (Carlos Quentin, Stephen Drew, Micah Owings, Chris Young, and Tulowitzki.) Many of them getting many homeruns and RBIs. I might think that they have a chance in a couple of years, but not know. They need more starting pitching than Brandon Webb, Livan Hernandez, and Randy Johnson. You can count on Webb to do well, but Johnson and Hernandez won't pitch well very often. Their relief is actually doing very well, already picking up 10 wins this season. I don't think the Diamondbacks would be anywhere without their relief pitching.
