How long will it take the Yankees to get back above .500?
Baltimore chop refers to chopping down on the ball, so that it bounces off of the plate and then too high towards an infielder for the play to be made in time to get the out. The concept was developed by Wilbert Robertson, the manager of the original Baltimore Orioles. Can of corn refers to a routine flyball out. It goes back to the old general stores, in which canned goods were frequently stored on the higher shelves, and a long stick would be used to knock the can off of the shelf, so that it could be routinely caught by the clerk.
Seeing Eye Base hits, AKA, that ball had eyes, refers to a groundball that gets through a pair of infielders, as though it could see where they were and avoid them.

Can of Corn was stated in Triple Play 99, old grocers would take a stick and tap down a can of corn which was on the top shelf and catch it with their apron or whatnot, making it look easy thus the phrase can of cornI believe i havnt played TP 99 in forever, but it deals with tipping a can of corn down from a shelf
