Good question.My initial response is no because as the season wears on and no matter how much of tear he stays on, sooner or later they will start pitching around him so as the season progresses the opportunities to homer will become less I think. I do think he will hit somewhere around 55, heck he averages 45 a year since he came into the league so 55 isn't much of a stretch but 74? That's a bit too much in my opinion.
I'm not a Bonds fan, or a Yankee fan but A-Rod is just a natural athlete who learned to use his power very early in his career and I like the way he plays and is one of a few players (Santana and Beltran are the others) who I would pay to go and see play although Beltran is the only one who comes here (Milwaukee).not sure if the Twins are on our schedule this year...I have to go look!

No just because A-Rod has started hot this year it doesn't many jack *. A- Rod is just not a power hitter without the help of something called steriods. A-Rod finishes with 43 homers. and next year will ever be lower for A-Rod.He is very capable of doing this! I hope he does so we can have a clean record! I also think he is capable of hitting 900+ Home Runs in a career so then we won't have to talk about Bonds!
