When is pedro coming back from the dl?
Yup. My aunt is a season ticket holder for the Astroes so she gave me some tickets to a game where the Cubs were playing them last summer. The roof was open it was about 90 degrees even though it was night. Otherwise it was a pretty good ballpark. It wasnt fantastic, but it was still pretty nice.Twice this weekend. Roof was closed Friday night (so nice and cool inside), open for Saturday (hot, but I was in the sunlight). It's a very nice park. Seats could have been turned a bit more toward the infield, and cup holders are pretty much only for the VIP seats (behind home, or the club level) which was a bad decision. Not too hard to get around, no serious pinch points, concessions okay to good but nothing amazing (every park in the leagues should be required to vend Chicago style dogs). Prices pretty typical for one of the newer parks. The gigantic windows over left field open with the roof, and the train (that Pujols nearly hit) is a cute touch. Excellent array of, and use of, scoreboards. Stock tickers for the obsessive-compulsives among us. I like it. Been in a few better but plenty worse (many of those now decommissioned).
Oddest looking player in a new uniform?
im a stros fan so i know about it, its a great ballpark. ive sat at field level, in the crawford boxes, in the mezzanine level, and at nosebleeds, and each section has its own thing i like about it. and the roof opens depending on the weather, but usually it is.if your looking for a seat at the ballpark, i recommend 2nd-3rd level (club level) seats if you like watching the whole game, but the crawford boxes if you wanna be more involved. the crawford box people have a lot of promotions that they do between innings, i got a t-shirt and a plastic ball before. the t-shirt was XL tho lol
What is the best MLB PC simulation game?
yes. i used to live in houston. i went to a few games. the astros have an awesome fan base. i dont remember if it was open or notHas there ever been another 7 time MVP in MLB other than Barry Bonds ?
I have been to Minute Maid Park many times and personnely prefer the roof open. It looks upon the Houston skyline and is an awesome site at night games. But the roof closed isnt to bad either since they can control the tempuratureWhat games have you circled on you calendar as must see games this year?
No.That IS the truth! Why would I lie about it?
no......
Whats a Good HomeRun Batting Avg?
Yes, I've had season tickets in section 419 since the Astros started playing there in 2000. I love it when the roof is open!First time I went, it was Enron Field. Great place to see a game! The roof was closed on the Friday night game, but was open for the next two.
The second time I went, it was Astros Field. Almost exactly like Enron Field, except most of the Enron signs were gone. Again, a great place to see a game. Get seats in the Crawford boxes if you can for one game.
The third time I went, it was Minute Maid Park. This too looked almost exactly like Enron and Astros Fields, but with different signs. Very good place to see a game! Just hope the Stros find their bats that day.
Good luck, and don't be surprised if the Astros hand YOU a bat. Because their lineup couldn't hit out of a paper bag.
DOH!
Another pathetic season for the cubs ?
yeah its a very nice stadium; can catch a refreshing breeze when it's windyStill trying to find the song?
I've been to quite a few games there, sat in quite a few different areas. I've seen the roof both open and closed, either way its a great ballpark. Although I do miss the old Astrodome every once in a while, it had so much history. I would rather go to Minute Maid though, great atmosphere. It's a nice park overall. I went when they closed the roof during the game, and it closed quickly. I especially like the hill in center field. Gives the ballpark some character.
How good do you think the mariners will be this season?
Diamond Club, sitting next to Drayton. Good times. He laughed when I said I'm Brewers fan.Should barry bonds be banished from baseball... YES !?
Yes, I thought it was pretty cool. 'Course, I've been an Astros fan since I can remember (made it to the 'Dome a few times before the team moved). As far as Minute Maid, I was like a kid in candy store. HAD TO SEE EVERYTHING. The Conoco Pump...The Crawford Boxes, Larry's Big Bamboo.the train. the Bagwell and Biggio statues out front. I loved it.. Roof was closed... which I was kinda hopin' it would be open... But, I thought it was a beautiful park... We sat along the first base line. Saw Bagwell in one of his final games.and got to witness an even rarer feat... Roger Clemens...LOST. he gave up 2 homers that game. But, no worries... It was a great time. Can you ever pitch again with a torn rotator cup?
the players are "juiced"It is a great ball park to go to no matter the gametime or if the roof's open or closed. Either way, it is an appealing place to see a game. I spent half of the day there when the Stros beat the Braves in their 18 innings, and I have to admit my butt was a little sore from the seats. Great place to watch a game though. It's my favorite park out of all the ones I've been to
Very nice ballpark - whether the roof is open or closed. During most of the year in Houston it's more comfortable if the roof is closed, even though I believe the Lord intended that baseball be played during the daytime and outdoors.
No. And I never would. The place looks awful on TV and the Astros should move back to the Astrodome.
