As a general manager (not manager) did Tommy Lasorda kill the Dodgers?

Question:lets not forget he traded Pedro Martinez for Delino DeShields, Paul Konerko for Jeff Shaw...etc.. I love the guy as a manager, but what do you think about him when he was the g.m.?

Answers:

Poor A.J., booed, punched, and booed some more?

Josh, I have been a Dodger Fan for (40) years and would put Lasorda at or near the top as a manager. He had great people skills and was a great motivator and I loved the guy. That being said, I would have to agree with you. He was as big a bust as a GM as he was a success as a manager. Everybody has their nitch and his was as a manager. Great question.
